REGENERATIVE THERAPIES

PRP: helping the body heal itself

The acronym PRP — short for Platelet-Rich Plasma — is a regenerative therapy that uses the natural healing properties of the patient's own blood.

In orthopaedics, PRP is used to treat chronic tendinopathies — such as plantar fasciitis, patellar tendinopathy or Achilles tendon injuries — early- to intermediate-stage knee and hip osteoarthritis, and post-surgical recovery. When indicated, it is a real option for those who want to slow the course of a degenerative condition or reduce their use of anti-inflammatory drugs.
